Director
Maya Shore (she/her) is a director, playwright and producer based in New York City. She is passionate about theatre that looks the audience in the eye and experiments with technical ingenuity in every inch of available space. Maya is currently directing BITCHES, an original play by Julia Smith, that will make its premiere August 7–9, 2025, at the East Village Basement in New York City. She received her Bachelors from Barnard College where she directed numerous plays, including her original play FEAR IT. In Summer 2024, Maya was awarded the Dasha Epstein Fellowship to support an artistic residency at New York Stage and Film where she was the Assistant Director for Seonjae Kim on Margaret Cho’s MOMMY, A ONE WOMAN CHO. Recent credits include: Directing Intern for Jaki Bradley on the Off-Broadway run of Natalie Margolin’s ALL NIGHTER and Assistant Director for Noah Latty on the Off-Broadway run of Daniel Holzman’s BERLINDIA!.
